I am home sick from work today. I've basically been sick since school started (probably due to the living conditions) but last night and today everything worsened. Boo.
I got out of bed long enough to make some chicken soup and read a little bit (scroll for
updates):
- "Why some Republicans want to lose." Yesterday, a blogger in our meeting wondered, "Why not let Nancy Peolsi run the country for two years?" He continued on by saying that the Democrats wouldn't get much done if they were in control of the Senate and/or the House, and that with a Republican president, they could only do so much. He predicted that if this were the case, Republicans would surely win in 2008. He offered that maybe this is the wake-up call that Republicans need...and as you might have guessed, most of the other bloggers thought this was absurd. Someone else countered by pointing out that the Dems have been out of control and have not taken that opportunity to restructure their strategy or strengthen their core. Why would the Republicans be any different?
For now, I think I'll get back in bed. I need to get better so I can go visit my niece this weekend.
